A nice thank you from the staff at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle, Indiana.

Betty (now 86) had been the Music Director at DePauw University for over 30 years when she retired. In her younger and healthier days, she used to love to drive to Indy to attend the symphony. At this stage in life, she didn't think she would ever have that opportunity again and had mentioned in passing to someone at Mill Pond Health Campus that she'd love to hear and see the symphony perform one more time. The staff person listened...contacted Never Too Late...and the "rest of the story" is below....Note the comment from Chrissy S., the nurse that accompanied Betty to the symphony...says it all!

Hi Colleen,

Here are the pictures from our trip with Betty. She absolutely loved it. We kept it a surprise the whole time. She really enjoyed the meal at Oceanarie's and when we arrived at the Symphony there were real live reindeer outside and when we got inside, I asked her if she knew where we were and she looked up with tears in her eye's and said the "Symphony". She said she didn't think she would ever make it back there. It was an absolute wonderful performance and we got her a music note scarf from the gift shop and a stucco piano key frame and put the picture of us in front of the Christmas tree in the frame and it sits in her room. I have been a nurse for several years and get feelings of gratitude daily with my job, but nothing has ever touched my heart more than the expression on her face when she realized where we were. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity and many thanks to Never Too Late for their wonderful generosity.

Chrissy S.
