Christina Cabot |
It has been one year since this young, vivacious
actress
discovered Never Too Late by watching the
Steve Hartman, Assignment America segment on the CBS Evening News.
Since Christina is
connected in Hollywood, she offered to help facilitate meet and greets with well-known names in the entertainment industry like Peter Fonda (Easy Rider) or Edward Norton (Fight Club).
Over the past twelve months, Christina
has helped to facilitate the granting of some pretty incredible wishes. She quickly found a producer to offer a role to an aspiring 87-year old thespian. She made arrangements for an 84-year old former stand-up comic to have a “gig” in a club in Vegas. She arranged for a couple from the Midwest to be able to have a meet and greet opportunity with
Regis.
Then she “connected the dots” to make it possible for an 82-year old fan to meet Wayne Newtown face to face. And most recently, she found a fantastic
Beatles Tribute Band
to perform for a hospice patient that will most likely be celebrating her last birthday on May 28, 2007.
This amazing bi-coastal actress was recently back home visiting family and friends in New York City. She accompanied her Father to visit a family friend with Alzheimer’s at a long-term care facility. Her Dad
(acclaimed jazz trumpeter Joe
Cabot) took along his
horn and a piano player, to play old tunes like “As Time Goes By”—the family friend sang the words as if she were back in time performing her nightclub act. That trip to the nursing home reminded Christina of the importance of the work that Never Too Late does with society’s elder treasures.
Never Too Late is fortunate to have such a kind and caring connection to the entertainment world. Christina may be a part of Generation X, but she has the heart and soul of those that belong to The Greatest Generation!
