Subject :  A Thank You for a Special Wish NTL fulfilled for Josh B.

The following thank you note is from our friends at Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denver Colorado in regards to a wish for a 32-year old nursing home resident.

Josh has been living in long term care facilities since he was just 19 years old. He never got to go to the prom or enjoy any of the other life experiences his friends did when he was growing up.

That situation changed on Sunday, April 6th, when Josh (and some of his friends) got into a stretch limo and explored the "night lights" of Denver. This wish transported Josh into a Neverland (a place where dreams and wishes come true) for a night...and he savored every moment of the adventure!

Dear Mr. Haverstick,

On behalf of Josh B. and Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Never Too Late. On April 6th Josh took his infamous Limo Ride. It could not have come at a better time. Josh has been struggling with some health problems recently and looking forward to the ride helped him to focus on something else. Several of us were present with Josh when the Limo arrived, his excitement could not be contained! It was quite a sight. There was a lot of cheering and picture taking. The Limo driver, Fernando, was very kind and really treated Josh well. Josh reports that he had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being out of the facility and seeing Downtown Denver at night.

In the next week or so we will be submitting an article to the Broomfield Newspaper, as well as our own community newsletter. We will be sure to send you and Limo Express one. Thanks again for your kindness. It will not be forgotten. In fact, our Red Hats Society was so inspired by your organization that they are starting their own Make A Wish program for our resident’s (on a smaller scale).

Respectfully,

Randi M, LCSW
