A WISH A DAY
TAKES ITS TOLL ON WISH FUNDS
For the first time
ever, Never Too Late is averaging just about a wish a
day! The wishes range from simple needs-based requests
for a bedside commode and Rollator walker for a
recipient struggling to regain her independence, to an
adventuresome life-long-dream request to walk the
Appalachian Trail for an 80-year old former WREN (Women
of the Royal English Navy) to a simple wish - for life-long
friends to meet again (click on the picture for
story).
Even
with donated goods and in-kind services, the cash needed
to fulfill a steady stream of wishes is more essential
than ever. Going from 200 wishes a year to almost 365
wishes a year is a huge increase in wish flow. We
need your financial assistance now to keep the
momentum going. Think about sponsoring a wish (go to the
Donations page on the NTL
website), or better yet, do what a couple from Arizona
just did - send a $1,000.00 to Never Too Late in honor
of our achievement of attaining a 1,000 wishes in just
six years!

Never Too Late
Receives National News Coverage
Steve Hartman and his
crew from CBS
News Assignment America came to Indianapolis on May
22nd to tape a segment on Never Too Late. Millions of
viewers watched in amazement as 86-year old Betty
Eisenacher went flying around the oval track at the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway at 170 mph!
The
piece aired at the end of the CBS Nightly News on May
26th - go to the NTL home page to
read and view the whole fantastic story.

INCREDIBLE ONCE
IN A LIFETIME WISH UNFOLDS FROM CBS NEWS
Ms. Cindy Phillips was
the first person to submit a wish request on behalf of
her 76-year old Mother after viewing the CBS News
segment on Never Too Late. The wish for Ms. Edith Huber
seemed like an "impossible" dream at first.
Then Ms.
Christina Cabot, an actress who resides in
Hollywood, responded to the Steve Hartman coverage on
Never Too Late and offered to help "connect the
dots" on any wishes dealing with the world of
entertainment.

1,000TH WISH
COMES TRUE FOR 92-YEAR OLD BASEBALL PLAYER
In March of this year,
Ms. Mildred Monroe "tried out" with the
Indianapolis Indians, the Triple-A affiliate of the
Pittsburgh Pirates. She didn't make the cut. After
working out with a cadre of physical therapists for the
next two months, the 92-year old "slugger"
earned a spot on the roster for six pitches.
Her
dream of stepping back in time to play the game she
loves took place on June 7th at the home plate of
Victory Field in Indianapolis. See the full story about
her wish here.

Never Too Late Celebrates Reaching The 1,000 Wish Milestone With A B.H.A.G. Wish
B.H.A.G stands for “Big, Hairy, Audacious, Goal.” Rather than throw a party to celebrate our accomplishment of fulfilling 1,000 wishes, Never Too Late is striving to make a wish come true for a 90-year old saintly man who still works 14-hour days to help feed the poorest of the poor.
This is the largest wish Never Too Late has ever attempted to grant since it began making dreams come true in January of 2000.
Lucious Newsom wants nothing for himself - spoken like a true servant of the people -
but he does want Never Too Late to help feed 1,000 of the folks he serves on a regular basis.
Never Too Late's Goal is to provide 1,000 bags of groceries to Lucious so that he can feed 1,000 people - what a great way for us to celebrate our 1,000th wish! See the rest of the story
here. Help
us turn this remarkable man's dream into a reality!
Don't forget -
Please forward this
Wish Report onto your colleagues, friends and family
members.
The more people that
read about what Never Too Late is striving to do - for
the forgotten elderly and terminally ill adults - the
more wishes (and dollars to cover the wish costs) will
come to Never Too Late to help carry on its mission.
