We are about to have a 10-15 second exposure on CBS tonight (4-28-06), sometime between 6:50 PM to 7:00 PM (EST) on the Steve Hartman segment called "Assignment America."

NTL is getting this snippet because the niece of a future wish recipient (who will ride around the Indy 500 Track on 5-22-06) contacted the folks at CBS News.

The dialogue between the show segment producer and NTL began on 4-25-06 and he liked what he heard enough to want to escalate the timeframe of putting NTL on the air. Dick Wolfsie (WISH-TV - CBS Affiliate) got involved and asked his producer to send three segments (via satellite) to CBS in NYC. There will be the skydiving McDaniels, the 92-year old Alice Campbell who did the 2-seater Indy ride last year and the NTL overview interview that aired on Channel 8 (CBS affiliate) on January 12, 2006.

NTL will be competing against two other 10-15 second spots. The Assignment America viewers are encouraged to go online and VOTE for their top choice between the three stories. If it is a runaway for one candidate, the show producer and host (Steve Hartman) come to that town the following Monday and Tuesday (May 1 and 2) and shadow the winning segment representative to gather more footage for a lengthier production that will air on Friday May 5.

If the three profiles are voted on equally and there is no "stand out" amongst them for the viewer voters, then all three spots get a "second chance" and will be aired in another three-spot contest at a later date.

If you are near a TV tonight, tune in at the tail end of the CBS Evening News to partake of NTL's ten seconds of fame!!
