NEVER TOO LATE WISH COUNT UPDATE FOR MAY, 2008

When I sent the April wish activity report to all you, I had predicted a banner wish month for May 2008.

We logged in Forty (40) wishes for May, 2008!

The grand total wish count from January 2000 through May 2008 would now be at 1,537 wishes.  We kind of blew by the 1,500 wish milestone with a big "whoosh!"

Click here for a copy of the story about the 1,500th wish recipient, 95-year old Lucille Handy.  Her granddaughter, Tracy Line, had written a good story about NTL a little over a year ago for a local magazine.  Once Tracy discovered how the wishes touched the lives of the recipients in a special way, she wanted to nominate the matriarch of her family for a wish.  Turns out the 95-year old elder treasure took up painting with watercolors when she was 80--now she was ready to master the skill set need to work with oils.  Her wish was to have a private one-on-one art lesson with renowned artist Mary Ann Davis.  The story includes photos of the two artists working on a painting, and the other shot is of the artist and four generations of Handy women around the easel.

Tracy has submitted the attached story to the Kokomo Tribune for publication, because that is where Lucille Handy resides.

A wish for a 95-year old woman still developing and nurturing new talents truly embodies the concept that it is Never Too Late to live out a dream, regardless of age.

All for now.
